Welcome! This guide is designed for graduate business students in the Knauss School of Business. The purpose of the guide to provide you with general information about conducting research.
The role of a university library is support to research needs for their campus. University libraries purchase and subscribe to online and print resources that are typically fee-based such as a subscription to The Wall Street Journal or Harvard Business Review. Many of the library databases have different names and each have a different purpose. In addition to your internet research, library databases complement the work you are already doing with subscriptions to online resources that you may encounter on the web. Librarians call these instances as a "pay wall". You may encounter pay walls for items such as case studies (see below) as well as newspaper, magazine, and journal articles.
