Banned Books Week 2020

Banned Book Events at USD September 27-October 3, 2020

Trivia Night: Tuesday, September 29th, from 7pm-8pm: Join us for a light hearted virtual trivia night all about banned books, their movie adaptations, and intellectual freedom! We'll have four $25 Amazon gift cards for our Trivia winners! Registration not required, but you must be present to play and win!

Banned Book Club: Thursday, October 1st, from 7pm-8pm: Join us for our student-lead Banned Book Club Discussion night about Angie Thomas' "The Hate U Give." We will be talking about why the book was challenged, why we chose it for our book club, and themes in the book including racism and police brutality, the power of language, and identity and community. Attendees will be entered for a chance to win a copy of their favorite banned book! Registration not required, but you must attend to enter the raffle.
