Font - does it matter?

Font - Times New Roman

Size - 12 point

Nothing else!

Margins, Spacing, and more..

Margins - 1 inch at top, bottom, left, and right

Spacing - entire paper double spaced

Alignment - flush left

Paragraph indentations - 1/2 inch, 5 to 7 spaces

Order - Title Page, Abstract, Body, References, Appendices, and Tables

What is APA?

APA refers to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th edition which provides a guide to formatting, in-text citing, and reference page for research papers.  APA is the style typically used in the social and behavioral sciences.  APA Style was first published in 1929.
