School of Peace Studies: Accessing Articles

What form of access is available?

Research databases typically present the following forms of access to journal articles:

PDF Full Text - preferred; displays the article in its entirety and typically includes all elements of the article

HTML Full Text - reformatted article to display on webpage.  May provide embedded links to other material, but does not always contain all elements of the original article (ex. pagination).

Link to check for USD online access - if you select this link, you will be taken to a list of options for finding full-text to the article, including the ability to request the article through Copley's Interlibrary Loan service.  See below for an example of options:

Other Copley Tools for Accessing Articles

Copley's homepage includes a tab for searching the library's holdings information on all of our journal titles (note, this is for journal titles, not article titles).  If you need to see what kind of access Copley provides for a particular journal, try entering the journal title in the search box.

Your search result for Copley access and holding to the journal title will look like this:

If Copley does not show holdings for the journal title in any format or through any link, you can request the journal article through Copley Interlibrary Loan.  You will need the article citation to complete the request form and your article should be delivered electronically within 72 hours.
