School of Peace Studies: Selecting the Best Database(s)

General Databases

If you need articles that speak broadly to your topic, try one of these more interdisciplinary research databases:

Academic Search Premier

Business Source Premier

JSTOR

Project Muse

Or use Copley's CatalogPlus from the library homepage as another way to do a broad search for articles.  Enter your keywords in the search box.

Subject-oriented Databases

Need something more aligned with a specific subject? Try the database tab on the library homepage and select Browse by Subject for a list of subject-oriented databases.

Google Scholar

While Google Scholar is not a database, as a search engine, it allows you to search the web for publications from a variety of academic sources.  When you access Google Scholar through the link below, the preference to show in your results when an item is available through USD is already set.
