By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Understand the value of review articles in building foundational knowledge and contextualizing their EBP research question.
- Distinguish between key health science databases (e.g., PubMed, CINAHL, Cochrane) and other online resources (e.g., Trip Databases and Google Scholar) and select relevant ones for their research.
- Apply advanced search techniques, including the use of subject headings (e.g., MeSH, CINAHL Headings) and Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT), to construct a targeted and replicable search strategy.
- Evaluate initial search results for relevance, scope, and alignment with their research question.
- Reflect on how strategic literature searching supports scholarly inquiry and contributes to the rigor of EBP projects.
