This guide provides information on Library and USD resources to help students succeed on their final exams for Spring 2024

Finals Week Essentials: Sponsored by ASG and Copley Library

Associated Student Government and Copley Library are pleased to provide students with a few finals week essentials to help them manage the stress of finals season including: snacks, study supplies, and free coffee starting Sunday, May 11.

Snacks and Supplies: Stop by for supplies and snacks anytime Sunday May 11 through Friday May 23 at 9pm.

Free Coffee: Copley will offer free coffee daily from 8am-10am, and 8pm-10pm. Bring your own mug to show your care for our common home

Craft Supplies: Copley will also provide craft supplies for those looking to sew, fold, or color their finals week blues away. While supplies last.

Movie nights: Join Copley library in streaming some of our favorite documentaries in our lower level classroom, Copley Room 121. Free snacks for all attendees! Details below:

  • Monday May 12 8pm-10pm "Sagrada: The Mystery of Creation" One of the most iconic structures ever built, Barcelona's La Sagrada Familia is a unique and fascinating architectural project conceived by controversial genius Antoni Gaudi in the late 19th century. More than 125 years after construction began, the basilica still remains unfinished. Sagrada: The Mystery of Creation celebrates Gaudi's vision and the continuing work of architects as they strive to complete the colossal project while delving into the process of artistic creation in a historical context.
  • Thursday May 15 8pm-10pm "Faces Places: A Road Trip with Legendary Filmmaker Agnes Varda and Photographer J.R." An unlikely duo, 89-year-old Agnes Varda, one of the leading figures of the French New Wave, and acclaimed 33-year-old French photographer and muralist JR teamed up to co-direct this enchanting documentary/road movie.
  • Monday May 19 8pm-10pm "Wax PrintSurprised to learn from her Nigerian grandmother that ‘traditional’ African wax printed fabrics were a colonial invention made in the UK and Holland, British-born filmmaker and fashion designer, Aiwan Obinyan, sets out on a journey across the globe to trace the two-hundred year history of this iconic textile.
  • Wednesday May 21 8pm-10pm "Objectified: Manufactured Objects and their Designers" Explore our complex relationship with manufactured objects and the people who design them. OBJECTIFIED is a look at the creativity at work behind everything from toothbrushes to tech gadgets. It’s about the designers who re-examine, re-evaluate and re-invent our manufactured environment on a daily basis.
