About Datastream

Datastream provides international financial, economic, stock market and company data. Includes coverage of equities, stock market and bond indices, economic statistics, foreign exchange rates, interest rates, fixed income instruments and derivatives. DSWindows software allows data to be downloaded and exported and can be used to create graphics, reports and spread sheets.

To find a dataset, go to


Data Category

Select a category, e.g., "Economics"

Mocer the cursor over the category, and select "Explorer"

Select country and data series as appropriate.  Use the search box as necessary

Click on the data series, then click the "Expert" box in the top center of the page to populate the search box.

On the lower left side of the page, go to


Analysis

Select the type of data retrieved, e.g. "Single Series -Data"; "Time Series Data"

Select your time series in the upper right hand corner of the screen

Click orange RUN button in the upper right side of the screen

When dataset appears, right click to export to Excel
