PICOT

A PICO or PICOT question is a structure way of asking a clinical question.  It is an EBP method for developing a research question.

P - Patient / Population

I - Intervention / Indicator

C - Comparison

O - Outcome

T - Time

Thinking in these terms can help you narrow down your question to something actionable and aids in the development of search terms and inclusion/exclusion criteria.
