This guide is designed to give you basic information about the Bloomberg Terminals available on the USD campus. The Terminals are available for current faculty, students, and staff only.

Introduction to Bloomberg Certificates

Bloomberg Professional, the company that manages the Terminal, offers three types of Bloomberg Certificates. The classes teach you about specific concepts and demonstrate how to perform searches within the Terminal. All certificates are free for current faculty, students, and staff.

#1 Bloomberg Market Concepts (General/Most common)

#2 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)

#3 Financial Fundamentals

How to Sign Up for a Certificate

1) Once you are logged in, type BCER in the Command Line. BCER stands Bloomberg Certificates

3) On the BCER page, click "Sign Up" and click Terms and Conditions boxes.

4) Click on "Launch Course". A webpage will open the Bloomberg of Education web page. You will be logged in to the Bloomberg for Education Portal. 

5) You will received an email from Bloomberg for Education. Select "Click Here" (yellow ribbon)

6) On the landing page, click on Bloomberg Professional Log in. Enter your Bloomberg Terminal username and password.
